Celebrating the Mid Scotland and Fife Winners of the Central and East Regional Scottish Thistle Awards 2024

That the Parliament congratulates the Mid Scotland and Fife businesses that accomplished awards at the Central and East regional Scottish Thistle Awards 2024; celebrates that the awards are recognition of the very best of tourism and events businesses and individuals in the region; recognises that Derrybeg Bed and Breakfast, in Pitlochry, won the award for Best B&B or Guest House for achieving a very strong reputation through high ratings on Booking.com and Tripadvisor and adopting a continuous improvement programme; applauds Ballintaggart, in Pitlochry, on being awarded the Best Eating Experience honour for its commitment to local produce and showcasing the very best of Scotland; commends The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, also based in Pitlochry, on being awarded the Celebrating Thriving Communities award for its annual sound and light show in Faskally Wood each October; congratulates The Hickory Golf Workshop, Fife, on being awarded the Innovation in Tourism award for its unique visitor experience into the history of golf; recognises that the Inclusive Tourism Award was presented to Homelands Trust, which is based in Fife and is a Scottish charity offering accessible lodges that have been specifically designed to meet the needs of people with a wide range of disabilities, and a drop-in centre offering activities, including alternative therapies, social activities and gentle exercise; believes that the Scottish Thistle Awards celebrate these businesses for their excellence, collaboration and innovation within the tourism and hospitality sectors, and extends its very best wishes for continued success to all the Mid Scotland and Fife award winners in the future.
