Udston Primary School Wins Scotland’s First OPAL Award

That the Parliament congratulates Udston Primary School on achieving the OPAL Award, having rejuvenated its playground and outdoor equipment to encourage children to learn new skills and make new friends through play; recognises that the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) Award, administered by Play Scotland, is a school improvement programme targeting non-curricular play that supports sustainable cultural change within schools and transforms the quality of playtime, and understands that the programme has brought considerable benefits for pupils, teachers and parents alike.
