Double Gold for Laurieston Primary School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the staff and pupils of Laurieston Primary School on achieving two separate Gold awards; understands that the school was awarded the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award and the sportscotland Gold School Sport Award; recognises that the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award is presented by UNICEF UK with the aim of recognising a school’s commitment to embedding children’s rights into its ethos and culture; understands that the Gold School Sport Award from sportscotland highlights the school's efforts to continuously improve the delivery of sport and its perception among pupils, including sustaining strong sporting links between the school and surrounding community; notes that a special assembly was held on 19 September 2024 to recognise both Gold awards and the achievements of all; celebrates the success of all staff and pupils at Laurieston Primary School in achieving these important Gold awards, and wishes them all the best for the future.
