Celebrating Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running's Record-breaking Event

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running on a record-breaking event on 29 September 2024; understands that the event broke the record for the highest number of participants, with almost 10,000 runners taking part; recognises that two course records were broken, in the marathon by Moray Pryde, breaking a record that has stood since 2009, and in the 10km by Logan Rees; notes that the festival is an important annual event in the Highlands, which sees participants from across the world travel take part, and sends its congratulations to all organisers, volunteers, and participants on a highly successful event.
