Big Green Market CIC Awarded National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Burntisland-based organisation Big Green Market on its award of £19,000 from the National Lottery Awards for All scheme; understands that this funding will support a number of workshops and repair cafes over a period of two years; believes that Big Green Market makes an important contribution to climate activism through its aim to help residents of Burntisland be as sustainable as they can be; understands that the first market took place in July 2021, and that the monthly markets have run regularly since then; notes that the group has raised over £30,000 in donations, which have been redistributed to local community groups, and wishes it continued success.
