Celebrating Bearsden Festival 2024 Community Day

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Bearsden Festival 2024 Community Day on its success; notes that the festival was held on 5 October 2024 and has been going since 2013 in various forms; understands that over 30 exhibitors were showcasing at the festival; considers that this was a wonderful celebration of an established community, with full participation from residents; appreciates the hard work of the volunteers from Bearsden Academy and the 1st Bearsden Boys' Brigade who supported visitors throughout the day; commends the live music bands, evening ceilidh for all ages, societies fair, hot food and bakery, as well as a toy swap for children, and wishes the organisers and volunteers every success for future events.
