Waverley Excursions Wins Glasgow's Favourite Business Award 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Waverley Excursions on being awarded Glasgow’s Favourite Business at the 2024 Glasgow Business Awards, as voted for by members of the public; notes that each year, the Clyde-built Waverley undertakes an extensive sailing programme that sees the world’s last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer visit much of the British Isles; considers that the Waverley is an icon of Glasgow, and also brings significant economic benefits to the over 60 ports and piers that it docks at each year, and applauds the work of the crew, officers and volunteers that work tirelessly to make the sailing programme a success.
