Edinburgh Attractions Winning at Thistle Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh tourist attractions and events winning at the Central and East of Scotland Thistle Awards grand final on 26 September 2024; understands that the Thistle Awards recognises the best in the tourism industry in Scotland, including celebrating responsible and sustainable practices; commends Camera Obscura and World of Illusions on winning awards for Tourism and Hospitality Employer of the Year and Climate Action, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 30th Anniversary Celebration for winning the award for Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival, and the Scotch Whisky Experience on winning Best Visitor Attraction; recognises what it sees as the immense value of the tourism industry to Edinburgh and Scotland, and wishes all winners and nominees at the Thistle Awards well.
