Orkney Food and Drink Celebrated at Taste of Orkney Ceremony

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the recognition of Orkney’s finest food and drink providers at the 2024 Taste of Orkney awards, which was organised by Orkney Food and Drink on 5 October 2024; understands that thousands of votes were cast by Orkney residents in a public vote to shortlist the candidates; notes that winners were announced at a gala dinner provided by Orkney street food company, Beiting & Brew; congratulates the Foveran Restuarant, Merkister Hotel, Sheila Fleet Kirk Gallery and Cafe, Loki Seafood Shack, Brig Larder, Wellpark Garden Centre, E Flett Butcher, Jollys of Orkney, The Orkney Dairy, Rendall’s Bakery, Orkney Gin Company, and Callum’s Cakes Orkney, for their respective wins across a range of categories; further celebrates what it sees as this demonstration of the outstanding standard of food and drink in Orkney, and pays tribute to the hard work of Orkney Food and Drink in facilitating this evening of celebration and recognition.
