Three Finalists from NHS Orkney to be Recognised at Scotland's Health Awards
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes confirmation that three members of NHS Orkney staff have made it to the finals of the 2024 Scotland’s Health Awards; congratulates Macmillan specialist nurse, Anne Gregg, and cardiologist specialist nurse, Amanda Mason, both of whom have been nominated for the Nurse of the Year Award, and midwife and sonographer, Melissa Lindsay, who has been nominated for Midwife of the Year Award; understands that the awards recognise outstanding service in high-quality health and social care; pays tribute to the dedication and hard work of the three women in serving their communities through the provision of consistently excellent care to patients; considers this recognition to be a richly-deserved acknowledgement of many years of hard work; wishes Anne, Amanda and Melissa, along with the others shortlisted, the best of luck at the awards ceremony next month, and thanks them for their invaluable service.
