Nobel Peace Prize Winners 2024

The motion

That the Parliament understands that the Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2024 to the Japanese organisation, Nihon Hidankyo, which is the grassroots organisation of atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, also known as Hibakusha, and acknowledges that Hibakusha have worked for many years to raise awareness of what it sees as the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of the use of nuclear weapons.
