Ayr Practitioner, Michelle Millar, Wins Senior Care Worker of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Michelle Millar, of Greenan Manor Care Home in Doonfoot, on being named as Senior Care Worker/Practitioner of the Year at the 2024 Meallmore Colleague Awards; understands that Michelle was acknowledged for "always showing professionalism and compassion to residents and their families, and providing consistently high levels of care and support"; notes that Meallmore, one of Scotland’s leading providers of older and specialist care, received more than 1,500 nominations for this year’s awards; further notes that the awards are in their 13th year, and were hosted at the Dunblane Hydro, with 200 people in attendance from across Meallmore’s 26 care homes; recognises that nominations came from the residents, families, visiting professionals and other staff members; commends Michelle on this fantastic achievement, and wishes her every success for the future.
