The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Vision Care For Homeless People (VCHP), which has announced the opening of its new clinic for free eye tests and spectacles; notes that VCHP is based at the Crisis Skylight building on the Canongate in Edinburgh and runs every Monday; acknowledges that the service that VCHP, and its partner Specsavers, have brought to Edinburgh is the first clinic in Scotland; understands that VCHP is available to anyone who is unable to access high street services for whatever reason, not just those at risk of or experiencing homelessness; appreciates that people affected by homelessness suffer significantly poorer eye health than the general population and frequently go long periods without glasses correction, and wishes VCHP all the best in its future endeavours.
