Fireworks Season

The motion

That the Parliament supports the Dogs Trust’s campaign to provide advice for dog owners during the 2024 fireworks season; notes its advice on how owners can prepare for fireworks by planning ahead by speaking to neighbours and researching when fireworks are likely to be set off nearby and at local, organised public displays, and, in cases where a dog is fearful of fireworks, speaking to a vet as soon as possible; further notes its advice that all dogs react differently so owners must identify their dog’s ways of coping, and that dogs that may react to fireworks must be walked well before dark, and urges dog owners to check the Dogs Trust website for more information and advice on how to keep your dog and others safe this fireworks season.
