Troon Scouts Unveil a Memorial to their Former Leader

The motion

That the Parliament commends the 28th Ayrshire (Troon) Scout Group on paying tribute to its late former leader, David Mathieson, who passed away earlier in 2024; understands that the group installed a memorial rock to remember David, who was described as "the rock" of the group; recognises that the Mathieson family was in attendance at the unveiling, commemorating the 34 years of service that David spent as leader, from 1984 to 2019; notes with sadness David's passing, and sends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and all those at the Troon Scouts.
