Banff and Macduff Men Shed

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates everyone involved with Banff and Macduff Men's Shed for their exceptional achievement on winning the Scottish Men's Shed of the Year award for the second consecutive year; believes that this is well-deserved recognition, which highlights the outstanding community work of a dedicated group of volunteers; understands that their hard work and vision has created a welcoming and inclusive community asset, bringing the old Macduff primary school building back into community use; further believes that this award is testament to everyone who has helped create something truly special, and applauds what it sees as the significant and positive impact that the men's shed movement, championed by this group, has had across Scotland, offering friendship while reducing social isolation.
