The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Grampian Hospitals Art Trust (GHAT) on being awarded £57,865 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund; notes that GHAT, which seeks to enhance hospital environments through the display of artworks, has been operating since its first arts programme in 1985, and is committed to expanding art for all by commissioning professional artists to deliver quality projects within challenging public settings; understands that this award will go towards the project, SUSTAIN: ENGAGE, which aims to improve public engagement with, and the sustainability of, NHS Grampian’s collection of artworks; believes that GHAT’s work in elevating the hospital environment is vital in making patients and staff alike feel better in their surroundings, and wishes everyone at the trust all the best with this project.
