UK Falls in Global Financial Inclusion Index
The motion
That the Parliament notes that the UK has now fallen out of the global financial inclusion index top 10; expresses concern at reports that the UK now ranks in the bottom half of the index for both worker pension contributions and the awareness and uptake of government pensions, and ranks only 12th for finances in retirement, and calls on the UK Government to stop what it considers as its attacks on workers saving for retirement and on pensioners already in retirement, and to increase urgently the awareness and uptake of Pension Credit.
