Congratulating Dundee and Angus College on Being Awarded College of Sanctuary Status

That the Parliament congratulates Dundee and Angus College on being awarded College of Sanctuary status, as celebrated at a recent event at its Gardyne campus; understands that Dundee and Angus College is the first Scottish further education institution to receive this award from City of Sanctuary UK; commends the work of the college’s ESOL team and other staff in creating tailored education for refugees and those seeking asylum; recognises what it sees as the significant contribution that the college’s work in this area does to enhance the community, and welcomes the example that it sets for other Scottish colleges to follow.
