Clydebank and Milngavie Constituency Groups Awarded Over £500,000 in National Lottery Community Funding

That the Parliament recognises and congratulates 12 organisations from across the Clydebank and Milngavie constituency on being awarded a total of £509,191 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that Trauma Informed Parenting received an £18,050 grant, which will be used to offer workshops and other support using a trauma lens for parents, carers, teachers and anyone living or working with children with challenging behaviours; notes that Centre81 Steering Group received £15,000 to sustain a very popular after school club for young people of primary school age for a year; recognises that Clyde Shopmobility received a £125,229 grant, which will be used to hire two new staff members in order to increase its opening hours and reduce pressure on volunteers; understands that Clydebank Group Holiday received a £6,150 grant, which will be used to provide subsidised one-week holidays for Clydebank-based families, single parents and older people who are experiencing financial hardship; notes that Faifley Upcycling received a £7,266 grant, which will be used to provide donated clothes and household goods to homes in need; acknowledges that Flourishing Faifley received £93,977 to continue the employment of its Project Officer and to expand delivery of its wellbeing, learning and creative activities; notes that Golden Friendships received a £20,000 grant, which will be used to offer a warm space, free two-course hot meals and unlimited hot drinks every Tuesday from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, beginning October 2024 to the end of March 2025; understands that Growing Beardmore received a £2,310 grant, which will fund a composting toilet in the groups community garden; recognises that the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children received a £10,000 grant and will use the funding to engage young people, the police and the council in co-designing a media campaign promoting healthy relationships and behaviours online and offline; notes that OK Stay and Play received a £12,678 grant, which will be used to fund its community playgroup; understands that Stepping Stones Organisation (Mental Health) received a £178,887 grant to augment its existing mental health offer with dedicated neurodiversity support, which is open to everyone aged over 16 across West Dunbartonshire, and that Strathclyde Autistic Society received a £19,644 grant to run its twice-weekly clubs supporting the welfare of children with autism and their siblings in West Dunbartonshire; congratulates all of the staff and volunteers associated with these groups, and thanks them for working tirelessly to make their community a better place.
