Mental Health Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Mental Health Aberdeen on receiving a grant of £16,315 from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that Mental Health Aberdeen, which was established in 1950, comprises five distinct counselling projects that provide services to children, young people and adults in Aberdeen city and shire, delivering 22,000 counselling sessions annually, free of charge, for people to be listened to, heard and understood by trained professionals in a confidential, empathetic and non-judgemental space; understands that this grant will be used to allow the group to offer counselling for the parents of children that are accessing the service to provide further support and improve outcomes for the children; hopes that these funds go a long way in helping the successful delivery of this project, and wishes Mental Health Aberdeen all the very best in its endeavours.
