National Lottery Heritage Fund Award for the Hunterian, Glasgow

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the award of £249,820 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to the Hunterian at the University of Glasgow; understands that this will be used for the museum’s project, Unlocking the Potential of the Hunterian: the Changing Museum; notes that the museum aims to undertake a scoping project for the development of a potentially phased plan for the renovation of both the Hunterian Museum in the Gilbert Scott Building and the Hunterian Art Gallery in the William Whitfield Building, futureproofing both buildings for generations to come, and wishes the team at the museum all the best with the project.
