Scottish Women's Institutes Aberdeenshire Federation

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Women's Institutes Aberdeenshire Federation on receiving a grant of £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that Scottish Women's Institutes have been bringing women together across Scotland since 1917 in order to promote education and connect women locally and nationally to improve their quality of life through friendship, education, sharing and having fun; further notes that the Aberdeenshire Federation supports the activities of the individual women's institutes across Aberdeen; understands that this grant will be used to retain the services of the Federation's secretary across a two-year period; hopes that these funds go a long way in assisting the activities of the Federation and the individual institutes it supports, and wishes it all the very best in its endeavours.
