Scottish Mountain Bike Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates SocialTrack on being shortlisted for the Scottish Mountain Bike Awards in the Community Project category; recognises that these awards celebrate the vibrant Scottish mountain biking community and provide an important platform to showcase the industry, its people and the sport itself; notes that SocialTrack, established in 2018, has played a pivotal role in supporting the Wishawhill Wood Pump Track and has its roots in the Wishaw Mountain Biking Club; acknowledges its significant achievements, including hosting the 2019 Red Bull UK Qualifier for the World Pump Track Championships, and commends SocialTrack’s commitment to tackling youth poverty in the post-industrial towns of Wishaw and Motherwell, and its belief in the transformative power of mountain biking and cycling to create opportunities and improve physical and mental health.
