Wishaw YMCA SICO

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Wishaw YMCA SICO on receiving support from the National Lottery Community Fund; recognises the importance of the grant of £19,820, which will be used to fund the organisational cost of the delivery of its newer gaming and esports academy to support young people with additional support needs; welcomes the esports academy as it offers young gamers a safe space to connect, build skills such as resilience and creativity and reach their potential, all while having fun and socialising; understands that Wishaw YMCA SICO is an inclusive organisation that strives to transform lives by empowering individuals to adopt positive change both personally and in their communities, offering support and encouragement without judgment or bias; acknowledges that, despite facing setbacks, Wishaw YMCA SICO has continued to deliver outstanding support to its community; understands that Wishaw YMCA has been a longstanding pillar in its community, and wishes the staff, volunteers and visitors all the best for the continued success of the charity.
