The Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland on receiving funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the funding will be used to support families from different ethnic groups that now live in North Lanarkshire; recognises that the Economic Forum for Family Empowerment Scotland’s objectives include providing vital support to people in need, particularly migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, by creating social and educational opportunities that help alleviate social isolation, address disadvantage and increase awareness of family rights, as well as women’s rights, including critical issues such as female genital mutilation; commends the Economic Forum for Family Empowerment on its dedication to providing support to families across throughout communities and for its meaningful impact on the wellbeing of individuals and communities, and wishes the staff, volunteers and supporters all the best for the future.
