Gold School Sport Award for Shortlees Primary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Shortlees Primary School in Kilmarnock on receiving a Gold School Sport Award from sportscotland; recognises that the Gold School Sport Award is in recognition of the school’s achievements in putting sport at the heart of its planning, practice and ethos; understands that it also highlights that the school has shown excellent practice across the core areas of the award and demonstrated an ongoing commitment to increasing young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership, and to providing clear pathways to lifelong participation in sport, and considers this to be an outstanding achievement for the school and local area.
