Lodged by Douglas Lumsden Standard Motion 2 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes Farmlay's £2.4 million investment in a new, advanced egg grading machine at its Aberdeenshire facility; understands that the artificial intelligence-powered technology will nearly double the company's output capacity to 900 cases per hour, reflecting the growing demand for eggs across Scotland; recognises Farmlay's position as Scotland's second largest egg producer, supplying major retailers and supporting the local economy; commends what it sees as the company's commitment to innovation and improving efficiency, which, it understands, will create around 10 new jobs, and wishes Farmlay continued success in delivering high-quality, locally produced eggs to consumers while contributing to the prosperity of the surrounding community.
