Further National Lottery Funding for Falkirk East Groups

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the various groups across the Falkirk East constituency that have received National Lottery funding; notes that the National Lottery Community Fund distributes grants to charities and grassroots community groups via money raised from those who play the National Lottery, the aim of which is to help support local communities across the country; understands that Carron & Carronshore Hall Management Committee received £3,400 to create a new useable space for groups in its village hall; further understands that the Community Wellbeing and Education CIC received funding of £19,758 towards the delivery of a pilot project offering female prisoners SQA accredited nail services and training, alongside life skills training at Polmont Prison over a one year period; recognises that Friends of Tremanna and Braes was awarded a grant of £20,000 to provide therapy and a safe therapy space for young people transitioning into independent living over a one year period; congratulates Limerigg Action Group on its grant of £19,990, which, it understands will help it to install a commercial kitchen in its community hall; further congratulates Polmont Playgroup on its grant of £19,550 which, it understands, will support the refurbishment of its new premises; celebrates all groups across Falkirk East who received National Lottery Community Fund grants, and wishes them all the best as they progress their projects.
