Burntisland Hedgehog Haven Awarded Highly Commended
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Burntisland Hedgehog Haven on receiving the award of Highly Commended UK Rescue of the Year from the Animal Star Awards; notes that the organisation is a charity that was founded by Burntisland couple Andy and Sharon Longhurst, and is run by themselves and a team of committed volunteers; commends their work rescuing ill and injured hedgehogs throughout Fife and beyond; understands that the UK hedgehog population is currently in decline; celebrates what it sees as the important impact of Burntisland Hedgehog Haven on the local hedgehog population, and wishes the organisation continued success in the future.
