Congratulations to Betty Simpson
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Betty Simpson on receiving the Lifetime Achievement in Tenant Participation award at the Tenants Information Service (TIS) National Excellence awards; understands that Betty has been active in tenant participation for over 25 years, acting as a strong advocate for Aberdeen City Council tenants over that time, and helping to secure improvements for tenants across the city; notes from reports that Betty has stated that she "enjoyed being a part of tenant participation and holding the Council to account"; understands that Betty is well known to council staff and councillors as a result of the huge amount of time that she commits, and the energy with which she makes her points; believes that this award is fully deserved, and thanks Betty for her tireless work within her local community and through tenant participation.
