Glasgow Kelvin College Wins International Green Gown Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Kelvin College on winning an International Green Gown Award in the category of Next Generation Skills & Learning; notes that the Green Gown Awards recognise exceptional sustainability initiatives by universities and colleges across the world and that Glasgow Kelvin College was one of only two UK educational institutions to win a category, alongside the University of Manchester; believes that this is a huge achievement for the college on an international stage, as a winner alongside organisations in Australia, Singapore, Morocco, France, Brazil, Canada and the Philippines, and recognises that the award is for the college’s Fighting Fast Fashion projects, which were created and initiated by its fashion curriculum area, in conjunction with sustainability colleagues.
