Congratulating Kirky Cinema on Receiving National Lottery Awards for All Scotland Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kirky Cinema on receiving £10,366 from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that this fund is geared towards community-led projects in Scotland that bring people together, improve places and spaces, help people reach their potential, and support people and communities facing demands because of the cost of living crisis; notes that Kirky Cinema is a community-run cinema for the community of Kirkintilloch and East Dunbartonshire; acknowledges that Kirky Cinema offers mainstream showings, as well as dementia-friendly showings in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland; notes that Kirky Cinema brings cinema to local East Dunbartonshire schools and community groups, and wishes Kirky Cinema success in the years to come.
