Grangemouth Rotary Club Marks Milestone Donation to Strathcarron Hospice
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Grangemouth Rotary Club on having now donated more than £200,000 to the local Strathcarron Hospice charity; understands that members of the Rotary Club visited the hospice to mark its milestone and to see how its latest efforts were being used to upgrade the centre and its facilities, including providing new office furniture and a renovated workspace for the staffing team, which includes nurses, therapists and specialty doctors; notes that the Rotary Club has now raised more than £200,000 in total for the hospice, which delivers specialist hospice and end-of-life care for over 400 patients per week across Forth Valley; welcomes the excellent work done by the Rotary Club in supporting a local charity that provides what it considers to be an essential service for patients and their families, and wishes everyone involved all the best in their future fundraising efforts.
