Vision Taekwondo Club

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the members of Vision Taekwondo Club in Wishaw on their medal success in two major competitions, the British National Championships and the Dutch Open; recognises the achievements of Kaila Sloan, Jordan Payton, Kirsty Marshall, Ava Bett and Sophia Bett across both competitions; understands that taekwondo is one the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, which teaches more than physical fighting skills; believes that it is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing the spirit and life through training the body and mind; considers that the club's success will now inspire many across Wishaw and Motherwell to take up the sport, and commends the coaches, Ross and Craig Eden, on their outstanding work preparing their students to compete to such a high standard.
