Finlay Thompson Wins Young Official of the Year (Under 27) Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Finlay Thompson on winning the Young Official of the Year (under 27) Award at the 2024 sportscotland Coaching, Officiating and Volunteering (COV) Awards; understands that Finlay has been recognised for the time and dedication that he has given to basketball in the area and particularly to North Lanarkshire Chiefs Basketball Club, and further understands that he has officiated an impressive 54 fixtures, covering various levels from under 14s to seniors, is a qualified level one referee and has refereed at both national and local league levels.
