Motherwell Phoenix Youngsters Wear Red and Back Anti-racism Charity
The motion
That the Parliament commends the young people of Motherwell Phoenix for their participation in the Show Racism the Red Card charity’s Wear Red Day, during which they wore red to show their solidarity in the fight against racism and their commitment to the cause; understands that Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s leading anti-racism charity, dedicated to using the power of sport, particularly football, to tackle racism through education, awareness, and action; recognises that the Wear Red Day campaign encourages individuals, schools, organisations and communities to stand together against racial discrimination; acknowledges the efforts of Motherwell Phoenix in engaging young people in what it sees as this vital cause, helping to raise awareness and encouraging a culture of respect, and commends Motherwell Phoenix for their exemplary leadership in promoting this important initiative.
