Asda Cashpot for Schools

The motion

That the Parliament commends Asda for its efforts to support customers, colleagues and communities through charitable initiatives; understands that, in September 2024, Asda launched the Cashpot for Schools initiative to provide primary schools and parent groups with additional funding; notes that Asda donated 0.5% of shopping value through Asda Rewards to local primary schools that were selected by customers until the end of November; welcomes the news that, in Motherwell and Wishaw, customers raised £20,329, making it the constituency in Scotland that raised the most for local school donations; recognises that Knowetop Primary School and Cathedral Primary School ranked third and 10th in Scotland, receiving £2,479 and £1,752 respectively; acknowledges that £614,326 was donated across Scotland, contributing to nearly £5.8 million being distributed to UK schools; congratulates Asda, its customers and the schools on this achievement, and wishes continued success for future community initiatives.
