Congratulations to the OEUK 2024 Award Winners

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all of the winners at the OEUK 2024 Awards, which were held at P&J Live in Aberdeen on 28 November; notes that the ceremony, the largest ever for these awards with 40 finalists across eight categories, saw around 600 people from the offshore energy industry gather to recognise the contributions of companies and high-performing individuals to the sector; understands that the eight winners were Dylan Fettes of Ithaca Energy for Apprentice of the Year, Amy Connelly of Shell UK for Early Career Professional of the Year, Ocean Installer Limited for People and Culture, Ocean Winds for Outstanding Contribution to Energy Security, Centrica Energy Storage + for Outstanding Contribution to Energy Decarbonisation, Schlumberger Ltd for Innovative Supply Chain of the Year (large enterprise), AISUS Offshore Ltd for Innovative Supply Chain of the Year (SME) and Spirit Energy for Neighbour of the Year; believes that these awards showcase the innovation going on in the energy sector to make Scotland a world leader in clean energy technologies as it moves towards a just transition to net zero by 2045, and hopes that all those who were successful, whether on a personal or team basis, are rightly proud of the achievements and the recognition that their hard work has produced, as well as the impact that their endeavours are making on people's everyday lives.
