YMCA Wishaw Receives Equipment

The motion

That the Parliament commends YMCA Scotland and HP for their generous equipment donation to the Wishaw YMCA Esports Academy; understands that the academy received a delivery of HyperX gear, including headsets, keyboards, mousepads and other accessories, which will greatly enhance the academy’s gaming setup and provide valuable resources for participants; notes that the academy’s team, known as Team Peely, is already making great use of this equipment to further develop its skills and promote esports within the local community; considers that esports is the fastest growing global trend, which brings together over 600 million people from around the globe; believes that the global market is expected to generate more than £1 billion annually, and is estimated to be worth around £350 million to the Scottish economy; expresses gratitude to YMCA Scotland and HP for their support, and wishes the Wishaw YMCA Esports Academy continued success and growth in the esports industry.
