Praise for Asda Charity Funding for East Lothian Primary School
The motion
That the Parliament praises the Asda Cashpot for Schools scheme, which has contributed nearly £5.8 million to UK primary schools; recognises that this funding enables schools to invest in various resources and projects; understands that, in Scotland, a total of £614,326 was raised; acknowledges that, among the participating primary schools in Scotland, Dunbar Primary School ranked in the top 10 for donations, receiving £4,214, and notes that the scheme ran between September and November 2024, with 0.5% of the value of shopping conducted through Asda Rewards being donated to local primary schools, as chosen by customers.
