The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the volunteers behind Possobilities, a small Possilpark charity helping disabled people, who have been crowned Champion Team of the Year at the Glasgow Community Champion Awards; understands that Possobilities supports disabled adults and young people, older people and families who are struggling, in a multitude of creative, clever and compassionate ways; further understands that it has around 30 volunteers, many of whom are disabled themselves, who give up their free time five days a week to give back to the north Glasgow community; notes that one of its biggest services is its Cook ‘n’ Care meal project, through which volunteers deliver fresh, home-cooked meals daily to people who, for whatever reason, can no longer cook for themselves, and understands that the charity, which started up 30 years ago, also runs social clubs, from arts and crafts to karaoke, afternoon teas, and a laundry service called The Steamie.
