Welcoming the Final Fundraising Total of Asda’s Cashpot for Schools in Glasgow
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Asda’s Cashpot for Schools initiative raised £61,720.45 to support local primary schools in Glasgow; notes that the Cashpot for Schools initiative was launched in September 2024 to help provide primary schools and parent groups with additional funding; understands that the scheme saw Asda donate 0.5% of the value of customers' shopping through the Asda Rewards scheme to local primary schools, which were selected by its customers, up to the end of November 2024, and understands that more than 151,000 customers supported over 2,100 schools across Scotland, with a total of £614,326 donated.
