Bothwellpark High School Named as a Rotary Lend with Care Embassy Ambassador School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Bothwellpark High School on being named a Rotary Lend with Care Embassy Ambassador School, following its successful partnership with the Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club; commends the school's commitment to supporting the Lend with Care initiative, which provides individuals in low-income countries with the opportunity to work their way out of poverty with dignity; acknowledges what it sees as the impact of the scheme, where as little as £15 can help fund a small business, and, once repaid, offers the option to recycle loans to support more entrepreneurs, make donations or withdraw funds, and expresses its support for what it considers is Bothwellpark High School’s role in promoting social responsibility and empowering young people to make a positive impact on global communities.
