Pay Inequity

Lodged by Kevin Stewart Standard Motion 12 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament understands that, by noon on 6 January 2025, many chief executive officers of London stock exchange-listed FTSE 100 companies will have received more in pay than the average annual salary of a UK worker; believes that what it sees as such gross pay inequity is an indictment of the failed policies of UK administrations of all persuasions, and calls on the UK Government to reinstate a ban on excessive bonuses for what it sees as FTSE "fat cats".
