Stranraer's Gail Munro Appointed an MBE
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Gail Munro, who is the ice rink manager at the North West Castle in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in The King's New Year Honours in recognition of her contribution of over 40 years to curling in Scotland; believes that Gail's commitment has singularly contributed to the growth of the game as, not only a competitor and coach, but also in inspiring future generations to take it up the sport at the rink, and thanks Gail for her passionate championing of curling in Stranraer and Wigtownshire.
