The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the £180,000 upgrade works undertaken to the helipad facility at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital; understands that the hospital helipad receives some of the most seriously ill and injured patients from across Scotland, and that it is one of the busiest in the country, facilitating over 2,700 landings since its opening, and notes that the upgrade, which was funded by the Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads (HELP) Appeal, involved installing a new high-friction surface to improve the safety of operations on the facility during inclement weather, to allow the hospital to continue receiving patients in all but the worst weather conditions.
