Congratulating Scottish Charity, Right There, on its 200th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scottish charity, Right There, on its 200th anniversary; understands that its primary mandate is to prevent people becoming homeless and that since 1824, it has assisted people experiencing poverty or social inequality, people fleeing violence, family breakdowns, or addictions, via tailored one-to-one support; acknowledges its social impact report, which, it understands, demonstrates that the charity’s support of around 4,000 people each year generates savings of at least £308.6 million per annum to the public purse; commends its goal for everyone to be given the chance to realise their potential and create a safe, supportive place to call home; applauds everyone at the organisation for their dedication and hard work in this area, and wishes them all the very best on this impressive milestone.
