Smart Works Scotland to Launch Limited-time Retail Experience with Buchanan Galleries

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Smart Works Scotland on hosting a unique pop-up retail experience with Buchanan Galleries; notes that all proceeds raised by the four-day event, which draws on fashion as a force for good, will be used to help empower unemployed women into work; understands that the initiative will run from 6 to 9 February 2025, offering shoppers an exciting one-off opportunity to explore a curated collection of clothing, including pre-loved and brand-new high-end designer pieces; acknowledges that Smart Works Scotland was established just over 10 years ago, and that the charity, which relies solely on grants and fundraising, provides free professional coaching and high-quality clothing to help unemployed women to fulfil their potential, get a job and transform their lives, and understands that the event is free to attend, and that every penny raised will go towards running Smart Works services that support unemployed women into work.
