Kilwinning Darts Buff Ryder Cup
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Kilwinning Darts Premier League for organising the Buff Ryder Cup at Blacklands Bowling Club, raising nearly £2,000 for local charities in memory of the late Billy "Buff" Reid; celebrates the success of the event, which saw £700 each donated to Megan’s Space and Ayrshire Parkinson’s Support Group, with an additional £308 raised for the North Ayrshire Darts Academy; recognises the competitiveness displayed by the 32 players from the town's league, culminating in The Dart Foundation's victory under captain Chris Lynn; acknowledges the generosity and community spirit demonstrated by those who attended and supported the event, and applauds the league's efforts in fostering community engagement through sport while supporting vital causes.
